KONVIN<\/span><\/h2>\n

Brda in Slovenia and Collio in Italy are one territory, a wonderful region that has been divided between two countries by the national border.<\/span><\/p>\n

The KONVIN wine bar and shop is located in the centre of vineyards, right on the site of the former border crossing in Vipol\u017ee, or Giasbana on the Italian side. The name KONVIN is no coincidence: KONFIN (colloquially: border crossing) and VINO (Slovenian: wine).<\/span><\/p>\n

Between Slovenian and Italian vineyards <\/span>1800 hectares on the Slovenian side and 1500 hectares on the Italian side, planted with grapevines, both where domestic and international varieties have found the right conditions to achieve excellence.<\/span><\/p>\n

Our wine shop is located next to the wine bar, offering a wide selection of wines produced by local winemakers from Gori\u0161ka Brda and Italian Collio. The wine prices in our shop are the same as in wine cellars.<\/span>
\nBrda wines reflect the typical climate of Gori\u0161ka Brda, where the influences of the Alpine and Mediterranean regions intertwine. The unique composition of the mineral-rich Brda soil gives the wines a special aroma and one of the most recognisable characteristics: minerality.<\/span>
\nGori\u0161ka Brda is best known for Ribolla, which is the most represented wine variety, but is far from being the only one. In addition to Ribolla, the list of superior quality wines includes internationally recognised and renowned varieties such as Chardonnay, Merlot, Pinot Gris and Cabernet Sauvignon.<\/span>
\nThe diversity of wine varieties and production styles results in a wide selection of different wines of all categories \u2013 from superior quality and award-winning wines to simple wines, from orange to sparkling wines. Its tradition and beauty conjure up authentic experiences that can be experienced and felt by everyone visiting these places. For those who like hiking, we highly recommend climbing Sabotin, which offers a wonderful view. For those who like wonderful views but don’t like hiking, we highly recommend the lookout tower in Gonja\u010de. <\/p>\n

There are 12 interesting hiking trails in Brda, including the Walk of Peace and the Alpe Adria Trail, an approximately 750-km-long hiking trail that starts in Veliki Klek, or Gro\u00dfglockner, in Austria and ends in Trieste in Italy.<\/p>\n
